A complete guide to dropping your testimony, encouraging others, earning badges, and growing together in your faith journey.
Getting started is simple. Here's how to set up your account and join the community.
Download the Stones app and sign up with your email address. You'll receive a confirmation email — click the link to activate your account. Then sign in and you're ready to go!
On the Sign In screen tap "Forgot your password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link within a minute. Click the link and enter your new password on the secure reset page. Note: for security reasons you can only request a reset link once every 60 seconds.
Tap your avatar on the profile screen to add a photo. Tap your name to add a bio and display name. Let the community know a little about your faith journey.
Tap the 🪨 button in the centre of the navigation bar. Write about a moment where you saw God move — an answered prayer, a moment of peace, a door He opened. Choose a category, optionally add a scripture verse, and tap Drop!
Need prayer? At the top of the drop screen, switch from 🪨 Stone to 🙏 Prayer Request. The community can pray for you. When God answers, mark it as Answered and it becomes a stone testimony.
Browse the Wall and tap the 🤲 prayer button on any stone or prayer request to commit to praying for that person. They'll receive a notification that someone is praying for them.
Open any stone and tap 💌 Send Encouragement. The owner gets a push notification, and a ❤️ counter appears on their stone showing how many people have lifted them up. A small gesture, a big impact.
Go to your Profile screen and tap "📨 Invite" or "📱 Share" to invite friends. Free accounts include 5 email invites plus unlimited sharing via iMessage, WhatsApp, or any app.
Once you've dropped a few stones, open the burger menu ☰ → My Journey, then tap "Share" top-right. Stones builds a beautiful PDF of your testimony — organized by category, with answered prayers highlighted, scripture inline. Save it, email it to your pastor, AirDrop it to family, or print it. A tangible "look what God has done."
Stones has 6 tabs at the bottom of the screen plus a More menu for additional features.

The community wall shows stones and prayer requests from everyone. Filter by type and category — Faith, Health, Finances, Relationships and more — all in one tidy row at the top of the screen. Tap the 🔍 icon top-right to search the Wall by a person's name and find their stones instantly.
Record a moment of God's faithfulness. Add text, choose a category, attach a scripture verse, and optionally add a photo (a thumbnail preview appears so you know exactly what you've selected). Up to 500 characters. Edit or delete your own stones anytime. When entering from a Circle's "+ Drop the first one" button, that circle is pre-selected as the destination.
Need prayer? Drop a prayer request instead of a stone. The community can pray for you and send encouragement. When God answers, mark it Answered and watch it move to the Answered Wall.
Lift someone up with a single tap. They get a notification and a ❤️ counter appears on their stone. Tapping the notification brings you straight to the stone with a gentle gold glow.
Earn 13 different badges as you engage with the community. Open the app daily to build a streak — unlock Walking Daily, Steadfast, and Pillar badges. View your progress on the Badges screen.
Create or join Circles for your life group, family, or close friends. Public circles let anyone request to join. Private circles 🔒 require admin approval. Up to 12 members per circle.
See all the stones you've committed to pray for. When God answers, tap "🕊️ God Answered This" to mark it as answered. Notifies the owner and earns you the Answered Prayer badge.
A personal timeline of all your stones in chronological order. See how God has moved in your life over time. Tap "Share" top-right to generate a beautiful PDF of your complete faith testimony — stones grouped by category, answered prayers highlighted, scripture inline. Save it, email it, AirDrop it, or print it. Share with your small group, family, or pastor. Found in the More menu.
Find and follow other believers, sorted alphabetically A→Z for easy scanning. Search by name and follow those whose testimony encourages you. Their stones will appear on your Wall.
See your stones, daily streak 🔥, followers, following, and badges. Tap your avatar to update your photo. Tap your name to edit your display name and bio.
Invite up to 5 friends by email on the free plan. Share via iMessage, WhatsApp, or any messaging app — unlimited. Found on your Profile screen.
Receive notifications for prayers, encouragements, answered prayers, and circle activity. Tap an encouragement notification and the Wall scrolls right to the stone with a gold glow.
Encouragement is a powerful way to lift each other up. Stones makes it effortless — one tap, instant impact.
Open any stone that isn't yours. Tap the 💌 Send Encouragement button. The stone owner gets an instant push notification, and a ❤️ counter appears on their stone (visible only when at least one person has encouraged it).
When someone encourages your stone, tap the push notification. The app opens directly to the Wall and scrolls to that exact stone. It glows gold for a moment so you know where to look. Works whether the app is open, in the background, or completely closed.
Every stone tracks its encouragements. Once one person sends encouragement, the ❤️ counter appears next to the 🙏 prayer count. Send enough encouragement and you'll earn the Barnabas badge!
Circles are intimate spaces — up to 12 members — for life groups, families, prayer partners, or close friends. You choose whether your circle is open to anyone, or private with admin approval.
Public vs Private: A public circle (no 🔒) lets anyone tap "Request" to join, with the admin still approving each request. A private circle (with 🔒) is the same flow but visually marked as private. Both keep content visible to circle members only.
Tap the 💛 Circles tab, then tap "+ New". Give your circle a name and optionally add a photo. Choose Public (visible in Discover) or Private (visible in Discover but marked with 🔒). You're automatically the admin.
From the Circles tab, tap Discover Circles. Browse all circles, search by name, and see member count (e.g., 8/12). Tap Request on any circle you want to join.
When someone requests to join your circle, you get a push notification. Open the circle and you'll see a Pending Requests section. Tap ✅ to approve or ❌ to deny. The requester is notified either way.
If you're the admin, you can edit the circle's name, photo, and public/private setting at any time. Tap the circle to open it, then tap the edit pencil.
Circles are limited to 12 members to keep them intimate and focused. Once a circle is full, the Request button will show "Full" and new members can't join until someone leaves.
Stones helps you stay committed to praying for others in the community.
Tap 🤲 on any stone or prayer request on the Wall to commit to praying for that person. The stone is added to your Prayer Queue and the owner is notified.
On the 1st of every month you'll receive a push notification and email reminding you of the stones you've committed to pray for. Keep interceding!
When God answers a prayer, open your Prayer Queue and tap "🕊️ God Answered This". The stone owner is notified, the answer moves to the Answered Wall, and you earn the Answered Prayer badge after 5 answered prayers.
Badges are awarded automatically as you engage with the Stones community. Find your collection on the Badges screen from your Profile.
🔥 Daily Streaks: Open the app each day to build your streak. Miss a day and it resets. Streak badges unlock at 7, 30, and 100 consecutive days — visible on your Profile as a 🔥 counter.

Stones is a place to share testimony with kindness. These tools let you keep your experience safe and in your control.
If you come across content that doesn't belong in the community, tap a stone to open it and choose Report at the bottom — or open someone's profile and tap Report. Pick a reason, add any details, and submit. Reports are confidential and reviewed by our team, who can remove content or accounts that break the community guidelines.
Tap Block on any of a person's stones or on their profile. Once blocked, you won't see their stones anywhere in Stones, and they won't see yours. Blocking is private — the other person is never told.
Open the ☰ menu (top-left) → Settings → Blocked Users to see everyone you've blocked. Tap Unblock next to anyone to restore their stones to your Wall.
You're always in control of your data. From the ☰ menu → Settings → Delete Account, you can permanently remove your account and all of your stones, prayers, encouragements, and circles. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
Yes! Stones is free with up to 10 stones and 5 email invites. Stones+ unlocks unlimited stones, private journal stones, testimony PDF export, and unlimited invites.
By default your stones are visible to everyone on the Stones community wall. Stones shared within a Circle are only visible to circle members.
Yes! Tap any of your own stones to open the detail screen. You'll see an ✏️ Edit button at the top right and a Delete Stone button at the bottom. Deleting a stone also removes related prayers and encouragements.
Your streak counts consecutive days you open the Stones app. Miss a day and the streak resets to 1. Streaks unlock the Walking Daily (7d), Steadfast (30d), and Pillar (100d) badges. Find your current streak on your Profile screen 🔥.
That's by design! When someone encourages one of your stones, the Wall automatically scrolls to that stone and it briefly glows gold. It's a gentle way to draw your attention to fresh encouragement.
You'll receive notifications when someone prays for or encourages your stone, when a prayer you've prayed for is answered, when someone requests to join a circle you administer, and monthly prayer reminders. Manage notification preferences in your phone's Settings app.
A 🪨 Stone is a testimony of something God has already done — a moment to remember His faithfulness. A 🙏 Prayer Request is something you're asking the community to pray for. When God answers a prayer request, mark it Answered and it transforms into a stone testimony.
Open any of their stones, or their profile, and tap Report or Block. Reporting sends a confidential note to our team to review. Blocking hides their stones from you and yours from them. You can see and undo your blocks anytime under ☰ → Settings → Blocked Users.
Go to ☰ → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently and immediately removes your account and all your data — stones, prayers, encouragements, and circles you own. It cannot be undone.
